My students all have complex communication needs and are learning to express themselves verbally and non-verbally through signs, picture exchange, and high-tech augmentative speech devices. The Tell Me preschool literacy program systematically helps students learn essential core vocabulary through favorite storybooks. Interactive books and corresponding props make literacy come alive and accessible for my students. This project will fund the entire 10-book program series, plus a few other favorite classroom books, to help my students become strong, literate communicators. It also includes multiple versions of multi-dimensional alphabet manipulatives so students can learn their ABCs through all their senses. Additionally, parents will be able to check out literacy kits to continue learning at home.
