A lot of my students have been attending an on-line option for learning due to COVID-19. I would like to make my classroom more inviting and comforting as home. The rug will serve many benefits. It will be a gathering place for our morning meetings, designated seating spot for whole group instruction, and a place for students to visually see where each others families are from. I have students that are from all around the world and I bring in a monthly treat for them to try from another students country. The flexible seating cushions will give students the opportunity of working in another spot in the room that is more comfortable than just the floor. We also starting to run low on headphones, which help students when working on their individualized learning programs without distractions.
