I have 31 second graders in my class this year and am quickly running out of school supplies for them. We do many learning, interactive assignments, and activities; including an interactive language arts notebook, STEM activities (the building blocks will be perfect for science and math), whole group response with with white boards, and much more. Because I have so many students I am quickly running low on the basic essential school supplies (paper, glue sticks, white boards, white board markers, erasers, etc.) to make these activities possible. Also, because of COVID many of my students are missing gaps in their reading knowledge. I am asking for reading tools (games, manipulatives, etc.) to help my students manipulate words and help make learning fun for them. Most of these tools will be used in small group instruction. These games and reading tools will be used to make reading fun. One thing that is really important in learning to read is the ability to sound words out, manipulate sounds to make new words; etc. The magnetic bingo chips/ magnetic wands and the pop it bracelets will be wonderful tools that can be used to manipulate words. My ultimate goal is help each child enjoy reading. I would love to add to my classroom library. Because I have a large span of reading abilities I am asking for a range in books to meet the needs of all of my students. Thank you for your help in bridging the gaps in my students lives!
