We need microphones to improve chrome book voice recordings for various projects already happening: radio advertisements incorporating our vocabulary words, for instance. When 2-3 students read and enjoy the same book or books with a comparative quality, they can record a podcast discussion of it to get other kids interested in the book(s). To do that, I need to continue to expand the diversity of my classroom library. My students listen to podcasts, and I know they will enjoy creating them. I want to give them a wealth of materials to choose from that are as current as possible, that represent diversity of subject, author, and style. Their podcasts will be up to them to create, helping them work together after so much of their recent school has had them separated.
