Special education students: Often times parents just don't know how to communicate with their children. Sending home vocabulary sheets is a way to achieve that. I have put together sheets for these children, 3-18years old even, to play a game like UNO with the family! Specific sheets for kitchen, bedroom, playtime, etc. so the child has vocabulary at their fingertips. There are more costly options with voice output, but this is a good basic way to get them started. English as a Second Language Learners can be in class and EVERYONE has a coreboard of vocabulary and I can ask questions and point to pictures and the students can answer the question verbally, or can SHOW me the answer by touching the right picture. The word is written out with the picture so it encourages reading!
