My students have difficulty regulating their emotions and behaviors, sitting in their seats, and engaging in tasks. When school is moved to remote learning, due to COVID, it amplifies this issue when we return to in person schooling. Sensory breaks and activities are critical for my students to help with self regulation and focus. By donating to the project, you will provide an opportunity for sensory breaks for emotional needs as well as a light table and tactile letters to help my visually impaired students with their sensory and academic tasks. My students will have sensory activities to help calm them when needed, which will help refocus for learning activities. A light table will help my visually impaired students focus on learning shapes, colors, letters, and other sensory activities. Their attention will be drawn to the tasks, enhancing their opportunity to learn.
