I work as a speech pathologist in a Title One school that strives its best to serve students from a variety of backgrounds. However, a lack of resources is just one of the many obstacles that my students and I face as we strive to reach their speech and language goals. The materials that I have requested were specifically selected because they tie directly to many of my student's IEP goals. These goals relate to inferencing, using correct grammar, problem solving, speech articulation, phonemic awareness and many more. Many of the materials offer home practice activates, that can be sent home with the students if they were to be quarantined or moved to temporary online learning. These therapy resources will be a lifeline for my students and I as we navigate and overcome all the challenges that stand before us.
