I have always wanted to have a library with science related novels and texts for my students. This is something that is hard to get approved, organize or personally fund. In this project, you will find many books and a science guides. A professional goal of mine is to improve science literacy, and connect reading to thinking and wondering like a scientist. You will also find stethoscopes. These will be used in our body systems unit. I cannot wait to see my students feel like doctors and actually hear their own heart beat and how it changes when under a variety of different cardiac situations. And you may see a lot of random items that I like to use as rewards. Some of these rewards include: pens, stickers, nice pencils and fidget toys. There are 146 students on my roster. I use a ticket reward system to keep them motivated. They use their tickets to earn raffle prizes. It helps engagement so, so much. I always buy these items out of pocket, and would really love to have a solid supply so I do not need to do that! Thank you!
