The new dictionaries that I am requesting will help students improve their vocabulary. In sixth grade, we study Greek and Latin roots. With these new dictionaries, students will be able to dive deeper into the etymology of words and their meanings which will promote a deeper understanding of our language. The class set of dictionaries that I have now are missing pages and were published in 1972. They are also considered to be elementary dictionaries, and my sixth graders are in junior high. My Gifted and Talented students would benefit from having such a great, updated resource to use!
