Some students need the sociality of a book club; some students need the information to fuel their interests; some students need fantasy to escape to other worlds; some students need to see themselves in books; some students need emotional support; some students simply need to find their book suggestion on the shelves. There are so many academic, emotional, and social obligations that educators are currently addressing with students. Books hug, bolster, thrill, and prop up students--sometimes in ways others can't. I firmly believe that there is a book for every student in every circumstance. By donating to this project, you will help our school strengthen our collection and offer additional support for middle school students right now and for years to come.
