These materials will be used with small groups of students to help them understand how reading works. Having each student be able to manipulate letters (tiles) to make words is very engaging to students. It will help them gain confidence in their reading. Dictation is a teaching strategy that also builds confidence. The individual sentence boards will help them focus on their handwriting as well as their spelling of words and sentences. Having materials for individual students creates the opportunity to give immediate feedback to each student in a timely manner.
