In our LETRS training we have learned the importance of having good decodable readers to practice the phonics skills we have learned in isolation. I will use these books in small groups to have success at reading. Kids need confidence in reading and these books will help provide that confidence by being easily decodable. By providing books that are totally decodable they will have success in reading and gain confidence over time. This is one resource I find our reading program to be lacking in and the guided reading titles in the school need a lot of teacher support.
