Students are able to do and learn a lot of things from remote learning, but there tends to be some gaps created. In my engineering classes, students are able to design and plan projects, but they are not able to fully complete them. This tends to have the students get the mentality that they are just doing busy work, so it is essential to see how it can be related to real world experiences and applications. Having access to a 3D printer will help the students see their creations come to life and see what they can actually do. I have seen how 3D printers help students learn. I have seen the enjoyment and satisfaction that students get when they are able to hold what they created. I have seen students push themselves to new levels and they actually want to do and learn more. Engineering helps the students apply math and science to create a new world where we push the boundaries of what can be done.
