Having a working kitchen in our classroom will help students as they prepare for independence in their adult lives. Having a working kitchen will help me plan and prepare life skills lessons. Having a working kitchen dedicated to our students will help us schedule lessons around our students classroom schedules. It will help promote healthy lifestyles and improve the quality of life for students who have disabilities. A working kitchen would help teach students about keeping things organized and clean. It would also be a fun way for students to interact with peer tutors.
