My students struggle with what many people would consider simple things: being prepared with a pencil and paper, colored pencils, etc. I offer students these things as needed. The biggest expense is road atlases that I use for an assignment that teaches my students about traveling the United States as part of a road trip. I introduce them to the freeway and highway systems by using road atlases and then they take that knowledge to the next level using there assigned Chromebooks by creating a road trip of their own. Many of my students have not traveled outside of Utah. I remember being a student at the school that I now teach at and I know that the world has limitless possibilities. It is my responsibility to introduce my students to the bigger picture and help them be better global citizens as they become adults. Thank you for your consideration.
