All the materials and tools that are being requested will meet the needs of my students and our classroom. COVID-19 seems to have affected everyone a little bit differently. One major effect I have noticed that its had on my students is their need to develop their language skills more than what has been expected prior to COVID-19. My students urge to play with friends and collaborate together while learning. With the learning games, STEM/building toys, and children's books, my students will have the opportunity to develop their social skills, strengthen their language skills, and learn essential life skills that will help them be successful. As technology is advancing, the world seems to be implementing and relying on it more and more. I use blended learning in a variety of ways in my classroom and I help my students understand how to use technology safely, wisely, and effectively. The headsets will be a great benefit for our blended centers. Students will be able to hear educational videos, audio books, and recorded instructions clearly. They will be using the microphone on their headsets to record themselves reading and share their thoughts digitally. After a lesson/unit, my students practice social skills by using post-its to collaborate together and create anchor charts about what they have learned. My students become in charge of their learning by putting what was taught in their own words. Then they are hung up in the class for students to reflect back upon and use when needed.
