First graders need to be able to get their wiggles out. Wiggle chairs are an appropriate way for them to move while learning. Learning through movement is research-based as well as current brain-based research. Boys and girls this age need to be able to have a choice in their learning and it is helpful for them to have several kinds of seats to choose from. The colors are cheery and fun for first-grade students. Providing choices in seating is a good way to help with student's mental health for all.
