Graphic novels help students to not only read, but also see what they are reading. I think this is an excellent opportunity to get more students interested in literature. Jr. high is when kids really go away from reading and I want to change that. We have different reading units that I want to incorporate in the school year and I want to extend my sets and also bring in classroom sets of different books. Books help them to see outside of the world they are in. With Covid changing a lot of things in their worlds, I want them to have the option to experience a world where they can see outside of Covid.

About my class
