This project will provide tools for students to learn to deal with increased anxiety and depression. Some of the books will be used as resources for myself, the school social worker, to teach about coping skills and anxiety in the classroom. Each child will have some resources in the classroom to use when they become emotionally upset. They can watch the glitter balls which will help them calm down. The younger grade children will have an expandable ball to help them with deep breathing which is one of the best tools for dealing with strong emotions.
