Many of my students experience difficulty with either fine-motor skills or learning abilities that are different than their peers. For this reason, I would like to provide my students access to computer mice and headphones to help them use our technology (i.e., Chromebooks) effectively. Our school's population have experienced an ever-changing schedule between at-school and at-home learning, making computer use a necessity. My students struggle without a computer mouse, citing the difficulty using a trackpad to navigate our classroom notes and assignments on a digital platform. It would be tremendously beneficial, especially for my special education students, to have access to a computer mouse during class to facilitate learning on a Chromebook. Furthermore, headphones would be beneficial for concentration during videos, allowing my students to focus on the content as opposed to being distracted.
