I have learned that finding the perfect book will give children a love of reading. I have watched as we visit our school library and have seen that children are quite draw to books by Mo Willems. This is the reason I chose the Elephant and Piggie series as will as the pigeon books. These chapter books will be used to assist children, reading at range of levels, in feeling success in their abilities. I will give an introduction to the series and then allow the children to read on their own. They will meet together with the reading peers to discuss what they have read to enhance comprehension. Prizes will be given as children complete books.
