Traumatized students need more time, more resources and more space to feel stable in their learning environment. These resources alleviate the need for their teacher to use more time and energy to create them on their own. The ten-frames are magnetic and huge, an over-the-top way to emphasize a learning point and to address the individual needs of two specific students in my class. Attention and learning difficulties will be directly address with use of varied manipulatives. Highly visual, direct and explicit learning foster growth with students who learn differently.
