I am requesting Edison Robots so they can explore the connections between coding and geometry. These materials will be used in the geometry classroom to give my students opportunities to program geometric paths with the robot, then try it immediately then adjust from there. Edison Robots empower students to become not just coders, but inventors, problem solvers and creative thinkers. More than a robot, Edison’s sensors and expandable build system opens up pathways for learning across math, science, critical thinking, engineering, design thinking and more. This project will complete my classroom set to allow each small group of students to have a robot to work with. This will be engaging and bring another element of learning while having fun to the classroom.
