I want to let my students experience math a little differently than they might be familiar with. Math doesn't need to be all worksheets and number crunching. Through chess and lego building I hope to show students how math can be a lifelong part of their lives. I hope to introduce my English language learners to something they may have never seen before. This will provide all students the opportunity to grow mathematically through problem solving and exploration. Many of my students would not otherwise have the opportunity interact with these sorts of manipulatives.

About my class
