Since we have limited materials in the classroom, my students will have the opportunity to have a variety of books to read with their classmates, as well as, their family. I emphasize daily the importance of reading. I want them to be able to confidently read stories that they are able to identify with. Many of my students have no books at home, this would give them the opportunity to grow as a reader with their family. This will also give the parents the opportunity to work with their child as they are developing as a reader.
