Learning to cook, clean, and accomplish other household tasks are key skills for living independently. The aim of Life Skills is to equip students with the transferable skills needed to be able to have fulfilling lives, whilst at school and in the future. It’s not just pictures of a dishwasher or a pantry; it’s an actual dishwasher and an actual pantry. The appropriately equipped Life Skills classroom is an invaluable tool in so many ways for preparing students for the next phases of their lives. In this real-world space, students work toward mastering skills that are needed to become more independent.
