Our classroom list has many diverse books where students in my classroom can relate to the stories being told. Stories about the first day of school, being kind to classmates, and living in an urban and diverse community are books that we need to be reading but do not have in our classroom. There are hands-on building tools requested which will help my kindergarteners build their sight words and their CVC words. These magnet letters allow my students to use fine motor skills to build, match, and create words. These materials will help our classroom to engage young scholars in the possibilities of education while reminding them that they can think through any obstacle and create solutions.
