As we have started our ukulele unit this year, the students and I have noticed several instruments in need of new strings. A handful of classroom tuners no longer work even with a new battery. I have seen them get so excited about the unit and asking questions as they explore the instrument, I only wish for them to not get frustrated when repairs are needed or they cannot get to a tuner in time. The supplies in this project will go to repair the ukuleles when needed and save us time in class when we tune up for the lesson.
