Project-based learning is the format for our students, and these projects are connected to their interests and passions and effectively engage reluctant learners. However, our classroom environment with standard chairs and attached desks is not conducive to building a trusting, comfortable learning community. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention, focus and engagement, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. When students feel safe and comfortable in a learning environment, their academic success increases. Our project-based learning format has students researching topics and developing presentations. We all work best when we are comfortable and engaged in meaningful work. These chairs and separate desk stands would make for a wonderful addition to our classroom!
