A variety of resources to regulate emotions are essential in an autism classroom. While one student may find it relieving to lay on a bean bag with a weighted blanket and look at different color lights, another student may be relieved by bouncing up and down on a trampoline or exercise ball. I strive for my students to be as successful as possible. They work hard to develop and maintain their academic skills, life skills, and social and emotional skills. These individuals need more movement and sensory activities than the typical individual to work to their full potential. The products I have selected include a bean bag chair, exercise balls, a trampoline that has a weight capacity over 300 lbs, sensory toys, weighted blanket, vibrating pillows, sensory sand, etc.
