We are requesting PicassoTiles which will help us investigate surface area and volume. As part of our geometry unit, we teach about surface area and volume of 3D objects. With these magnetic tiles, students will gain visual understanding of surface area and volume. Students will design and build their own objects to make sense of the abstract geometry terms. This gives students an opportunity to use their creativity in mathematics. Students will work collaboratively to build their 3D magic. This will build student relationships within the classroom, which we have struggled with during COVID-19 isolation.
