These items (candy treats and treasure box items) chosen were voted on by the students who are all English learners. They struggle in the area of English Language Development. They come to school everyday wanting to learn and do their best. They are highly motivated but items such as a sweet treat or a treasure box surprise gives them something to look forward to once they reach their daily or weekly goals. I have taught for 25 plus years. I find children far exceed your expectations when they are the ones given ownership of their learning. They are looking forward to seeing if their project gets funded. Thank you for wanting to help my deserving students.
