Our students learn through play. Play pays a great part of their communication. When my students are interested in a toy they are more likely to projecting their voice. For example, if a student is interested in magnets he or she will point to object, I repeat "mmmagnet", they point or repeat "mmm" for magnets. That is just one part of their communication. We start from babbling to saying full sentences. With new toys students become excited, their imagination and communication expands. With new toys my students will accomplish so much.
