These materials will be used to create calm down boxes which will be placed in every classroom within the school. Unfortunately, a large majority of my students have faced some kind of trauma in their young lives and these calm down boxes will afford them the tools to help process their emotions in a positive manner. In addition to utilizing the calm down boxes to deescalate, the students will be gaining valuable skills that will transfer into all parts of their life not just school. My students experience big emotions and deserve the best tools to calm down. These boxes will benefit their growth and development. They will also allow them to create new and healthy habits. Help me help my students!
