In our school, we focus a lot on project-based transdisciplinary learning. The way we do this is by incorporate 6 over-arching themes into our work around the core subjects-reading, writing, mathematics, social studies and science. Students are given a choice board with 16 projects to choose from every time we begin a new unit. The themes of the school year, in order, are: "Who We Are", "How the World Works", "How We Organize Ourselves", "How We Express Ourselves", "Where We Are In Place and Time" and finally "Sharing the Planet". We are currently learning about The American Revolution. Students are super excited and already learning so much. Having access to laptops right in our classroom would help us learn so much more!
