Students visit the Learning Commons for many reasons, but sometimes it is just to escape the stressors of the classroom and to regroup before returning to class. An Oculus Quest with fitness and/or calming meditative apps will provide students with a healthy escape. Students can use the Quest to escape reality for a short bit and then return to class recharged and ready to be the scholars that they are. Social emotional care if more important than ever and our students are old enough to learn to give themselves proper breaks and self-care. The Quest can be a bridge to help these young adults learn to provide their own mental breaks.
