I am requesting Snap Circuits, engaging books that inspire their interests,books about science, scientists, women who've changed the world, books about animals and so much more. These materials will add significantly to my class library. Currently the class is working on informational reports on insects, bugs and the world around them. Our class library doesn't contain any books on these topics. Adding non-fiction, informational books, to our class library would greatly increase student excitement about the topics. Also, we have very few books in our classroom which reflect the diverse population in our community. I'd like to add to the library with books that tell stories about African-American, Black, and female leaders. I'd love to provide materials for them to continue learning about topics with which they are passionate about as well as books that reflect the members of our community. Lastly, I want to encourage STEM projects, especially with the young girls in the class. For this reason, I added the Snap Circuits kit for students to explore.
