My students will use these iPads in the classroom. We use two programs daily, Dreambox and Lexia Core 5. These programs help support each child's individual needs in math and reading. They transfer the skills practiced in these programs to our classwork and home practice. We also use other programs such as Homer and Starfall to support struggling learners. As a first grade class, we often receive the "hand me down" technology from upper grades as their technology is updated. Often these outdated laptops or iPads do not work and have to be sent to our IT department to be repaired, which can take weeks. New, working technology would be so exciting for my students.
