Students are provided with graphing calculators, but these calculators have become worn throughout the years and occasionally need replacing or class sizes exceed the allotted amount for the class. Students regularly have to share or take turns to complete their assignments. Every student studying high school math should have individual access to a graphing calculator while in the classroom. We are preparing students for college-level mathematics, and they need to be familiar with the tools of the trade. Having individual access to a graphing calculator, rather than shared access will allow students to further explore this mathematical tool.
