These materials will make a difference for student learning because the students will not be distracted by hunger. Many students come to school without a meal from the night prior. With providing snacks throughout the day, students will have a better chance to stay focus on the content they are learning. Feeding their stomachs will lead to feeding their minds. Students often tell me food will help them focus and it will provide them energy to get through their day of learning and growing. It is vital for students to be comfortable and prepared to learn to be successful in the school day. These items will be going home with students on the weekend to help them with food at home as well!
