They will give the students extra incentive to continue to do their best work while serving as a stepping stone to building and creating thing with their hands. It could be a individual, partner or group time activity. The students will be given time to share their project. When done the baggies of material will be sent home. The project will encompass counting, sorting, following directions, completing project and cleaning up. I know the straws and connectors build a rocket and we might do that as a class project but I plan on counting so many straws and so many connectors out and letting them create a shape or a chair or wheel. Letting them experiment.
