I am requesting outdoor clothing so that my students can be comfortable exploring the outdoors in the winter. Our students are able to experience an amazing outdoor education program that teaches them about the natural and cultural history of the place they live. The program relies completely on public school funds for its operation. The snow pants we are asking for will enable students whose families are not able to provide them with adequate winter gear to have a safe and comfortable experience exploring the outdoors. This experience will hopefully lead our students to develop attitudes and behaviors which will encourage them to become stewards of their environment.
