The students at my school work across all the language arts classes to create a student-produced newspaper, which is a cooperative project that teaches numerous academic and social skills. They've frequently expressed the wish that their hard work could be printed in color, but it hasn't been possible because we've not had access to a wide format color printer. This is an exciting purchase that will help emphasize the Publish phase of the writing process beautifully. In addition to providing the local area with professionally written and presented news, our students can learn about local weather with these purchases. We live in a VERY rural area, and no weather report online is ever accurate. Weather and climate studies in all the science classes will be enhanced and much more engaging with the use of an accurate local weather station.
