The students in my classroom are a very diverse population. Most of my students come from very low income homes. In light of Covid-19, a lot of my students are experiencing the opportunity, for the first time, to learn how to play with other children. The classroom rug will be an anchor in my classroom and give my students a designated space to come together for whole group activities while the manipulatives and toys will help my students to strengthen their fine motor skills while using their imaginations to build while playing.
