My students are learning to read in English. I wanted to find beginner chapter books with pictures on every page to support vocabulary acquisition and reading comprehension. All of the other kids in the class were reading chapter books, and while my students can read in their home language, they have trouble in English. Previously I was using a lot of books I printed out from readingA-Z because it is easy to find books at many different reading levels that have topics that interest older students. But, I want my students to feel like they can read chapter books with the rest of the class, but there needed to be pictures on each page to support them as well. I am trying to find books at a couple different levels so my different book groups can have books that are the right level for them.
