Implementing movement and flexible seating in the classroom allows students' learning and engagement to increase. Coming back to in-person learning has been especially difficult for my special education students to sit for long periods of time. Having these flexible seating options will allow my students the choice to wobble, rock, or just be comfortable. I want my students to thrive through movement and conversation by using flexible seating. In a special education classroom, flexible seating options can stimulate students' sensory input. This will help them focus and process information better while moving. Flexible seating especially helps students with ADHD and ASD. Please help my classroom!
