These novel studies will be used in the classroom. We will dive into different cultures and people with disabilities overcoming obstacles. Our discussions will bring in our own life experiences and our own connections to the story. Our classroom readers' goal will be to gain empathy, understanding, and a connection to our book's character and situation. Deep diving and critical thinking is another main goal for our readers. Finding new vocabulary, figurative language, and citing evidence to back up our discussions will be a big part of our classroom lesson.
