Currently our school does not have a library. I am trying to utilize the spaces that we have to give students the ability to read and experience a wide range of literature. Our goal is to create multiple book nook spaces throughout the school. This project is mainly for the middle school students. They currently don't have a space that is just for them. I created these book nook areas underneath the stairs to fill with books because we don't have a library space. The goal is to create a safe space that students can come to check out books independently. Already we have a good selection of books, but they are old and used. I want to celebrate my students by providing them new reading materials because as soon as they find a book they love, they are turned into life long readers.
