My students all have educational disabilities and the bright fluorescent lights cause distractions and headaches while they are trying to learn in my classroom environment. These students already have difficulty maintaining focus in the classroom and completing assignments; the lights compound this issue. A calm, relaxing environment is proven to benefit young scholars of all abilities. These lights will provide a stepping stone toward a more engaged classroom of students. Having more engaged students in my classroom will help students implement the skills being learned in a variety of environments.

About my class
