My kindergarten students are all ready and eager to learn the necessary literacy skills to become independent readers. They all learn in different ways. They love to engage in learning centers. With these differentiated centers I can address the multiple learning levels in my classroom. There are activities at allow my students to practice beginning and ending sounds in grade appropriate words. They will have the opportunity to practice sequential order which adds in retelling a story. There are also activities to assist with letter recognition for my emerging readers. Students can work on all the skills that they need to be successful, lifelong learners. There are sight word cards that push my advanced emerging learners to go a little further. With these centers, I will have another resource to reach the different leveled learners and meet their needs to push them to become successful independent learners.
